Was clearing out my inbox today and found this link I had emailed myself.
This is a terrific discussion (based on an article by David Brooks) of the morphing of the political spectrum and evolving of political definitions. I remember one of Ronald Reagan's favorite sayings: "I never left the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party left me." In the Army (I'm sure you in civilian life have heard this, too) we used to say, "What goes around, comes around." In other words, have you looked lately to be sure that the political party you're supporting is using the political philosophy that caused you to join them in the first place? Or have they picked up and moved to a new philosophy when you weren't looking and/or using manipulative language to convince you they haven't moved? Read and enjoy.
