A Report on Mayor Bloomberg as an Independent Candidate
Mayor Bloomberg was recently interviewed by Dan Rather. He discouraged the idea that he would run as an independent candidate for President. Of course, the standard for discouraging people from considering you as a candidate was set a long time ago by Civil War era General William T. Sherman. Sherman said, “If nominated I will not run. If elected I will not serve.” That pretty much sealed the deal on drafting him as a candidate.
