Introducing--Get Out of Our House: Revolution

Readers of my blog know my own focus on solving the political problems our country faces has been on individual voters.

As I wrote in my last entry, my overall intent is to provide new insights that will make people’s lives as citizens and voters more effective and efficient. Part of that process is to equip people to better decide which candidates best reflect the values and philosophy you have.

Along the way, I’ve discovered someone with the same goal of solving the political problems our country faces, but with a different approach. Tim Cox wants to replace the politicians with normal, everyday Americans just like you. His new organization is called GOOOH (pronounced Go – www.goooh.com) and he has a new book called Get Out of Our House: Revolution!  Tim has provided an overview of the system and why we must take action now, and I’m pleased to publish it on our blog, along with a link to his web site.

Here are Tim's remarks.

I am deeply concerned about the country we are leaving behind for our children and grandchildren. America is self-destructing under the watch of our generation. There are significant problems that must be addressed, problems such as social security, education, crime, drug use, broken homes, the environment, healthcare, poverty and more. If we do not do something—and soon—can our nation remain the greatest in the world?
I am convinced that the cause of our nation’s decline is politicians. They no longer serve the people or pursue what is good for our country. Politicians have become self-serving, power-mongering, puppets, controlled by their political parties and the special interest groups that fund them, politically correct panderers. Many of them are outright criminals. Every single survey shows that our nation is increasingly disgusted with politicians; not even a quarter of the population approve of our lawmakers.

The solution is obvious. We need to replace the politicians. All of them.

The book Get Out of Our House: Revolution! explains the problems confronting our country and documents exactly how we can effect change by putting representatives back in Congress—and kicking the politicians out. The GOOOH (pronounced “go”) system will enable Americans to evict the politicians from our U.S. House of Representatives.

If you are concerned about our country and have had enough of politicians, there are a few actions you can take:

1) Visit the GOOOH Web site: www.goooh.com.
2) Tell everyone you know about GOOOH.
3) Participate in the candidate selection process.

As you learn about GOOOH you will see that it does not favor any view or any person; it creates a non-partisan political party. It does not care who you know, how little money you have, or what you believe. It simply asks you to document how you would vote if you were elected and then commit to voting exactly that way.
GOOOH will facilitate the selection process by randomly sorting participants into pools of ten. Each pool will choose two candidates to advance using a process we have tested in focus groups over the last twelve months. The process will repeat until one person emerges in each of the 435 districts. GOOOH will provide the funding and orchestrate the campaigns for the 435 candidates who are selected. Take a look at the Web site and see how simple, practical, and achievable the plan is. All that is required to succeed is for you to participate.

The purpose of GOOOH is to select representatives that represent the common man—not influence-peddlers and power-brokers. Therefore, the GOOOH system does have a few restrictions: it excludes politicians, lawyers, and individuals with excessive wealth. These groups are overly represented in Congress today and they no longer represent everyday Americans. The parties will continue to offer members from these three groups; GOOOH will select people like you.

I know that you see the problem; it cannot be denied.

I know that you want change; we all do.

We now have an opportunity to redirect our country. The question is will you do something about it, or will you leave the problem for your children and grandchildren?

We face very few defining moments in life; this may be the most important one that will ever present itself to you. What will you do?

Mark Twain said, “In the beginning of change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him…” We are looking for American patriots to join us now. We need you.

The course of our nation will be determined by your action. A political revolution is about to begin. We hope you will join us.

Tim Cox is the creator of GOOOH and author of Get Out Of Our House: Revolution! The publication date is December 1st, 2007, but advanced copies can now be purchased at www.goooh.com.

If congress were a public company, it would be de-listed, under investigation, bankrupt and its sr. management fired by the bored of directors.

How long does it take for people to realize it is the system that is broken?

I went to the GOOOH site. Very interesting!

Similarly, I have argued that Congress is the Board Of Directors for this corporation we call the United States of America. They represent the stockholders. The stockholders are the citizens and voters of this country. The CEO is the President. By that concept, if the Board of Directors determines the CEO is incompetent, then the Board should fire that CEO. And if the Board either cannot recognize that incompetence or refuses to act on behalf of the stockholders, then the members of the Board, along with the CEO, should be fired.
