Hillary and Huckabee
I was thinking today about the comparison of Presidential candidates we are going to start shortly. That caused me to remember something a woman told me at one of my book signings. The human brain has a feature called the reticular cortex. If you are shopping for red sports cars, then you activate that feature and suddenly you will begin seeing red sports cars everywhere. That's what's happened with me and Presidential candidates.

Today's New York Times has excellent commentary on two of those candidates, Hillary Clinton and Mike Huckabee.
The commentary on Clinton by Judith Warner is noteworthy for its inclusion of some economic data released by the government and featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Similarly, David Brooks' article about Mike Huckabee is insightful about someone rising in the polls through their non-conformity to the party line.
