Bill Moyers' Journal: Interview with Jeremy Scahill about Blackwater and Mercenaries
If you missed Bill Moyers' Journal on PBS last night (October 19, 2007), then you missed one of the most illuminating interviews I've seen about the threat the use of "Contractors" (mercenaries) represents to the health and well being of our democracy.
Scahill exposed what is, in essence, one of the most lucrative and insidious government contracting kickback schemes I've ever seen.
Moyers, for his part, does an excellent job of asking questions that a defender of contracting mercenaries would ask. Scahill's answers are clear and authoritative.
A good question for the coming Presidential debates would be whether the candidates would or would not continue the use of mercenaries.
Here is a link to the show and the commentary of its viewers.

Staying in the center hasn't changed things so far.
See: our Democratic Congress that has proven to be a MAJOR disappointment.
