A Reason Americans May Be So Dissatisfied
Yesterday we posted an article from CNN describing a poll that said 75% of Americans were dissatisfied with the performance of the Congress.
Travel and some computer problems have put me even further behind my own to-do list. I was going through some articles from last month today and came across a related article. This coincidental article by David Sirota provides an insightful explanation of why Congress (especially the Senate) seems unable to act upon issues despite the seeming wide spread support of the public at large.
The link I'm going to give you is a two for one. The link will take you to Sirota's "Circumventing the Tyranny of the Tiny Minority". Within that article will be a link that will take you to Sirota's original article, "The Tyranny of the Tiny Minority". I recommend you read both.
Here is the link.

By the way, there is some commentary about the need for the smaller states to have the counterbalance of Senate representation to avoid being bulldozed by the more populated states. Any solution we devise must maintain that counterbalance.
