From Time Magazine: The Tone Deaf Democrats

This article by Joe Klein regarding the Las Vegas Debate provides our second offering of the day that Republicans, despite what may seem like bleak prospects at the moment, have hope for maintaining control of the White House in 2008. That hope is the result of weakness by Democrats in making the case for their candidacy.

Klein writes well of a moment in the debate that I saw, but failed to comment on myself.

I must say that Governor Bill Richardson disappoints. On paper, Richardson has the kind of background that interests me as a Presidential candidate. He combines experience as an elected executive, a legislator, an administrator and a diplomat. But as Klein notes here, when crunch time came in an area which should be considered a strength, he opened himself to a weak moment and was unable to recover.

The article also demonstrates a moment in the debate where Senator Dodd excelled.

Read for yourself.
