Republican Presidential Candidate Debate in Iowa

In tonight's debate, the candidates said they would cut both taxes and spending to get America's financial house in order, but didn't want too deeply into programs people needed. The BS meter pegged on max.

A substantial portion of federal spending is fixed. Are their spending cuts that could be made? Probably, but what are you going to do to pay down the debt?

This is not a "Total Money Makeover" formula for financial health.
