Some Thoughts for Christmas

On this Christmas Eve, I want to wish one and all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

In the interest of the season and good will in general, I have decided not to post a political thought today or tomorrow. Let's give it a rest.

What I would like to do is offer a thought about happiness. My basic skill set I was trained in is in organizing, training and leading people and organizations to succeed. While I blog about politics out of concern for the negative impact of politics on the success of individuals and business, I still read about success, leadership, sales and business from a variety of sources.

One of the people I read is Dan Kennedy. Dan's latest email has a no-excuses message about taking charge of your own life and your own happiness that I believe we can apply to any number of aspects of our lives. His writing reminded me of the sayings of two other people.

It doesn't matter what happens to you. What happens to you happens to everybody. What matters is what you do about it.--Jim Rohn

People are about as happy as they make their mind up to be.--Abraham Lincoln.

Here's the link to Kennedy's web site and his own discussion.
