NY Times: McCain's Fiscal Mantra
Sometimes I think we forget that a President does not operate in a vacuum. A President must work with a Congress and a firmly entrenched budgetary and political system. Like it or not, members of Congress are judged on how much of the Federal pie they are able to bring home. Someone else's pork in another district/state is a needed project bringing jobs and growth in your district/state.
Regardless, this is an excellent report about the financial outlook of McCain's proposed Presidency.
