If you've been reading this, you know that one of my contentions is that this election needs to enable and be about where this nation needs to go from 2009 and beyond.

We as voters need to do two things to make that happen. First, we need to transform ourselves from a focus on issues and personalities to an issue on principles and outcomes. That transformation will enable us to clarify our thinking and concentrate on the goals we need to achieve for us and our posterity.

Second, we need to choose the candidates who will best enable us to make that transformation in our focus by clearly articulating the goals we need to achieve for us and our posterity.

Some would say that candidate is Barack Obama.
