CNN: McCain defends '100 years in Iraq' Remark
John McCain appeared last night on CNN's "Larry King Live". McCain took advantage of the interview to clarify his remarks (captured live and on tape) from the campaign trail about staying in Iraq. McCain also praised GEN Petraeus and his approach, as well as Secretary Gates. In my opinion, his praise of Secretary Gates, in particular, is well placed. Whoever the next President is, they would do well to do what McCain suggested last night and attempt to keep Secretary Gates in place.
