I founded Kindred Minds Enterprises because I see the way we Americans do our politics as a threat to our individual, business and collective prosperity and security.

Sadly, we continue to drift down a path detrimental to our futures, but many of us are unaware of the course we’re on. Will we wake up before it’s too late? Or will we be like a young couple I knew once where the husband thought the family was doing well until his wife told him that she had run up $30,000 in credit card debt without his knowledge.

The regrettable reality is that among our nation’s ills is our over $9 Trillion debt. Were that debt divided equally among every man, woman and child in this country today, then a family of four’s share of the debt would be $120,000. In fact, according to my friend Tim Cox of GOOOH, if you make more than $75,000 a year then your share of the debt (given the way we allocate our taxes) would be $1 Million.

No matter where you think of yourself on the political spectrum or what label you assign yourself, (liberal, conservative, moderate, libertarian, etc.) the time has come to face the truth. What we are doing is not working. If what we were doing was working, then we would not have the kind of fiscal folly we have now.

I believed when I started (and I believe now) there are decent, honest, intelligent Americans out there who recognize that something is wrong. The difficulty is that politics appears to be so messy, confusing and distasteful; they don’t know where to begin to fix things. Like someone trying to find the right combination to a padlock through trial and error, they are trying to find something they can do within the context of their own busy lives to make a difference. They are searching for a voice of reason and a source of wisdom to help them find that something.

Unfortunately, most places people seek reason and wisdom today begins with a hidden bias that tells one side of the story and not the other. Further, their methodology is focused on keeping you within the existing dysfunctional system, rather than considering what practical changes might be made to improve that system. The emphasis is on a bewildering 24/7/365 blitz of personalities and issues driving conflict, not consensus.

In contrast, we want to transform you by giving you that voice of reason and source of wisdom. We want to teach you to focus on principles and outcomes so you won’t be “spun around” by the continually shifting winds of the news cycle. We want to teach you how to demand what you want, instead of having to accept what you’re offered.
