The Committe for a Unified Independent Party (CUIP) (whose leader was largely associated with Mayor Bloomberg in some of his election campaigns) has a very interesting analysis of the impact of Independent voters on the Primaries through February. There is also an article from the Atlanta Constitution featuring an interview with that same leader.

Overall, this is further proof of our contention that the general population is dissatisfied with the two major parties. Either we are about to see a major third party emerge or one of those two parties is about to be the subject of a hostile takeover, IMHO.
