Pew: Most Americans Identify as Independents

This is a survey I found earlier this month and meant to post then. The fact that people are now committed to one candidate or the other have changed the percentages. In the summer of 2007, some surveys said the number of voters calling themselves Independents was as high as 43%. Also of interest on this web page is the book advertised on the page, We the Purple, by Marcia Ford.

I still intend to write an entry about an open letter to Democrats as an up-front agreement on expectations.
