NY Times Essay: Doctor Recalls Abortion Complications Before Roe v. Wade
One of Harry Truman's sayings was, "There's really nothing new in the world. There's only all the history you don't know." As time passes by, we forget what things were like before. What's more, we see what happens when a government is unwilling or unable to ask, "What if. . ." before embarking on a new course of action.
While I doubt you will find anyone who will argue for ways to increase the number of abortions and the goal should be to have only minimal abortions, making abortion illegal is not likely to achieve that goal.
This article reminds us of the drawbacks of making the procedure illegal.
