CNN: Why White House Race Is a Close Call
This CNN article muses about why Obama seems to do so well in fund raising and other popularity indicators, but the polls among likely voters have the race neck and neck. Here are two of my own thoughts why this may be so.
First, Democrats are still not articulating a strong enough message on National Defense. Without that message, many voters will gravitate to McCain with his military background in a time of war.
Second, the polls may be off. Many people today have given up land line phones in favor of cell phones, especially younger people. People in this category may not be contacted by the pollsters and the poll results, therefore, may be skewed.
I've been following some discussion groups on Amazon. The shallowness of thinking is amazing. I'll try to do some blog entries with some examples over the next few days.
