Media Matters highlights the false claims that Senator Biden favored breaking up Iraq into three separate countries, rather than partitioning Iraq into three separate states under a Federal umbrella. This is a plan that passed the Senate something like 93-6 and was supported by people like Senator Sam Brownback.

So you be the judge. I have the link to the Media Matters article. I also have a link to Senator Biden discussing the partition plan. He lays it all out in the same way he did when I saw him in Council Bluffs.

If you're saying McCain just had a slip of the tongue, then I would have two counter thoughts. First, Fox News is using the same language, so this is deliberate not a slip of the tongue. Second, even if it was a slip of the tongue, McCain has been having more than his share of slips of the tongue. Its an indication of the sharpness of his mind and that is worrisome.
