Initial Thoughts on McCain Obama Debate
I don't know which I am more disappointed by in tonight's debate--McCain's misrepresentation of the reasons for the success of the surge and our ability to withdraw from Iraq or Obama's inability to point out McCain's misrepresentation.
As far as withdrawal goes, realize that if we can't get a status of forces agreement done by December, then our UN mandate will expire and we will be required to leave.
Obama comes closer to having the right conclusions, but for the wrong reasons.
