Arianna Huffington: The Internet and the Death of Rovian Politics
I have sources sending me the smear emails and they are getting more and more frequent. There's one of them that I said should have been called a "Greatest Hits: Smears of Barack Obama".
Huffington speaks very convincingly to the fact that YouTube and the Internet may make the distribution of smears easier than ever before, but gives them a shelf life that is shorter than ever. The third party validators further put the nails in the coffin.
In short, if all you have to recommend your candidate is to smear the other one, then you ain't got nothin'.
