Common Dreams: The Disillusioned Reality of the American Choice
Voters who only consider voting for one or the other of the two major parties, particularly those who predominately vote Republican, seem to face a real quandry this year about who to vote for.
What may not be readily apparent is the quandry the so-called Progressive voter is also facing. This article explores that phenomenon and the commentary after the article itself is revealing.
To me, the article illustrates again why we so desparately need to institute Instant Run-off Voting. IRV will free up the voting electorate to seek new affiliations. IRV will also allow a better chance of third parties having a foothold in the state and federal legislatures.
