And Now the Hard Work Begins
Congratulations to Barack H. Obama on his inauguration as the 44th President of the United States.
He inherits a mess that will take years, if not decades, to overcome.
Amidst the efforts that must be made to solve the current problems, one other effort must be made. In fact, the resolution of that one other effort may make the resolution of the other problems easier.
That one other effort is to determine how things were allowed to degenerate so quickly and create safeguards to keep it from happening again.
We live in a world that moves faster and faster with each passing day. That means when we make a mistake the effects of that mistake fester and multiply faster than ever before. We must, therefore, be able to fix mistakes faster. We cannot wait on election cycles to replace ineffective leadership. Ineffective leadership must be confronted and forced to change its mind before the damage goes beyond repair.
When the history of these last years is written, a clear conclusion will be our legislative branch failed to check and balance the executive branch. The reason for that failure is the obstruction of partisan polarized politics.
This Blog will continue to focus on what needs to be done to neutralize polarized politics in this country.
