Dave Lindorff: The Third Party Delusion
As consistent readers know, I am an advocate of establishing Instant Runoff Voting as a means of enabling third parties to emerge. Oherwise duopoly and ineffective governement are likely to continue.
I haven't had a chance to comment on the article yet, but I will.
I provide it here as an alternative point of view.
I do agree with the writer that so long as the current system exists, no third party can emerge. If there is to be a mass movement as he advocates, then that mass movement must be to institute IRV.
