Will the Republican Party change? Does it need to change?
The Democrats faced similar questions 4 and 6 years ago. Their recovery was aided by a Republican party cock sure of its invincibility that lost its way. Will Republicans be beneficiaries of a similar meltdown by Democrats?
Only time will tell, but my money is on the transition taking longer for Republicans than it did for Democrats. The innate inflexibility of its membership will slow the process.
Then again, never say never.
