Hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day.

I hope you took a moment to remember those who made it possible for us to enjoy the day in freedom.

I know there is an element out there who wants to make you feel guilty for partying too much on the day. And, in truth, if you took no time to remember those who have passed out of your life then you probably should feel guilty.

On the other hand, I don't believe those who have gone on, whether in combat or of natural causes, would want you to spend the day in mourning. I can't believe anyone you loved would want you to live your life in sadness. They would want you to enjoy the life you have left.

So, let's acknowledge the good times and memories of those who have left us and the contributions they made to the life we had today. But let's also create the memories today we can reflect on tomorrow.
