We were discussing Health Care Reform and President Obama's speech to Congress last night on Car Concerns today.

As usual, we had a caller who had to say something about abortions not being funded by the plan and being glad that was the fact.

I contrasted that thought with this. An abortion has a one time financial cost of less than $3,000. So, even if the abortion were funded with tax dollars, we would have an expense of $3,000. If we didn't have abortions and then this unwanted child ends up in our Foster Care system, we taxpayers are looking at a cost of $36,000 a year for who knows how many years.

This led to an "invigorating" discussion with one of the callers getting so mad he used a toxic word on the air.
