New Comment on Contractors

Mike Ben Moshe sent me this link about another death in the war zone due to electrocution. First is Mike's email with the link, then my reply.

Seems beside just the lopsided pay scale and cleaning up the merc's fuck ups, privatizing the military has some other issues!

With the U.S. Gov being so ineffective, inefficient and so corrupt, I wonder how much better it would be if IT was privatized and run by the whims of the stock holders?!?

They don't care because they don't have to care. Their kids aren't at risk. Why should they care?

This is why I say we need to change the rules in this and other areas so that our elected officials have to (if you will) "eat their own cooking".

May be it will help to get something done.

Same crap as when they needed to wage war and they were using the troops as a club to silence dissent, but where was the care to those same heroes that came back?
